Alternative Resolution of Consumer Disputes
(Law144/2015 of September 8th)

The Alternative Dispute Resolution (known as ADR) covers mediation, conciliation and arbitration of consumer disputes. ADR entities are independent entities, with qualified staff who, impartially, help the consumer and the company to reach an amicable solution through mediation or conciliation. If this agreement is not reached, it can still appeal to the arbitral tribunal, through a simple and quick process.

Are covered by Law No. 144/2015, the extrajudicial settlement procedures for disputes promoted by an ADR entity when:

  • they are initiated by a consumer against a supplier of goods or service;
  • respect the resulting contractual obligations of purchase and sale or services supply;
  • the contract is concluded between a supplier or service provider and established residents and consumers, respectively, in Portugal and in the European Union.

At www.consumidor.pt you can find the updated list of ADR entities and types of covered litigation.

In case of dispute with our company, please contact us via e-mail redeteca@redeteca.com, to try to reach an amicable resolution of the problem. If the conflict continues, you may contact the National Centre of Consumer Disputes Information and Arbitration:
